Does it matter if my e-visa doesn’t include the name and address of the hotel in Vietnam?

Question:
We have received our e-visa for Vietnam; however, it just does not state the hotel name or address where we are staying on the e-visa.
Will that be a problem?

Answer:
No, that will not be a problem.
The Vietnam e-visa is an official document issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department through the government visa portal. It is provided as a PDF file that you can easily download, print, and carry with you during your trip to Vietnam.

In the Vietnam e-visa template, the hotel name and address will not be mentioned, however it will be stored in the Vietnam Immigration Department’s system for reference. Actually, you may stay at multiple accommodations during your trip, and this will not affect the validity of your e-visa, even if none of them are listed on the visa. Therefore, you don’t worry if the hotel name or address you entered during your visa application is not shown on the issued e-visa.

While the hotel information isn’t stated on the e-visa, other information of your issued e-visa must exactly match the details on your passport. Any discrepancy, even a minor one, can cause serious problems, including being denied boarding.

If you discover that your e-visa contains an incorrect information, you should immediately contact the Vietnam Immigration Department to request an amendment. In case you are unable to reach the Vietnam immigration officers, you may need to apply for a new e-visa or use our Vietnam e-visa correction service.

If you still have sufficient time before departure, it is recommended to reapply for a new e-visa with the correct passport number. However, if your flight is approaching, you can use our urgent visa correction service, which updates your visa data in the system within 1 – 2 hours on working days or weekends.
