How to extend the issued Vietnam e-visa validity?

I have my e-visa issued with its validity from October 3, 2025 until October 7, 2025. However, my travel plans require me to remain in Vietnam until October 10, 2025, which extends three (03) days beyond the current visa validity.

1. Whether this e-visa can be extended to cover my planned departure date?
2. The process, documents, and fees required to arrange the extension.

Dear L. Shefer,
Thank you for your question regarding the Vietnam e-visa extension. At present, you will have 2 options:
1. If you still have sufficient time before your trip, you can simply submit a new e-visa application that covers your planned trip;
2. If your flight is approaching soon and there is not enough time to re-apply, we can assist in extending your current visa.
The documents for visa validity extension should be:
- A scanned copy of your passport and a recent portrait photo;
- A scanned copy of your current visa;
- The email address used for your visa application.
The visa extension would be completed within a few hours on both working days and weekends.
