How to fix the visa details at the last minute?
If Canadian citizens have applied for and received their Vietnam e-visa through the official government website but later discover errors in the visa, and their flight to Vietnam is approaching with only a few hours before check-in closes, they should immediately contact a trusted Vietnam visa support.
Common visa mistakes we encounter:
- Incorrect passport number or date of birth;
- Wrong passport expiry date entered.
- Spelling errors in the name – missing or extra characters
In some countries, the letter “O” has been removed from passport numbers to avoid confusion with the number “0” (zero). However, Canada still uses the letter “O” in its passport numbering system. Please pay attention when entering your passport number to ensure you do not confuse these 2 characters, as even a small error can cause your visa application to be delayed or rejected;
In fact, some Canadian passports have passport numbers ending in the letters “HO” (letter H and letter O).
However, the passport holders have mistakenly entered the ending as “HO” (letter H and number zero) when completing their Vietnam e-visa application. This error may cause serious issues during airline check-in and upon arrival in Vietnam, as the passport number on the e-visa must exactly match the passport number.
If your passport number ends with “HO”, please carefully review your Vietnam e-visa to ensure the correct characters were entered before your departure.
