Vietnam expands list of entry ports for e-visa holders

The Government of Vietnam has announced an expansion of international checkpoints where foreign nationals may use electronic visas (e-visas) for both entry and exit. With the addition of 41 new international checkpoints, the total number of e-visa entry and exit points nationwide now stands at 83.

According to Resolution No. 389/NQ-CP, recently issued by the Government on December 2, 2025, the new checkpoints include:

  • 4 international airports,
  • 11 land border gates, and
  • 26 seaports.

4 newly added international airports are:

  • Long Thanh International Airport (to be applied once officially operational),
  • Gia Binh International Airport (to be applied once operational),
  • Vinh International Airport, and
  • Chu Lai International Airport.

11 added land border gates are:

  • Dong Dang (railway), Lang Son Province (border with China)
  • Lao Cai (railway), Lao Cai Province (border with China)
  • Tra Linh, Cao Bang Province (border with China)
  • Long Sap, Son La Province (border with Laos)
  • Nam Giang, Da Nang City (border with Laos)
  • Le Thanh, Gia Lai Province (border with Cambodia)
  • Binh Hiep, Tay Ninh Province (border with Cambodia)
  • Thuong Phuoc (road/waterway), Dong Thap Province (border with Cambodia)
  • Dinh Ba, Dong Thap Province (border with Cambodia)
  • Tan Nam, Tay Ninh Province (border with Cambodia)
  • Thanh Thuy, Tuyen Quang Province (border with China)

and 26 seaports and maritime border checkpoints are:

  • Van Gia, Quang Ninh Province
  • Diem Dien, Hung Yen Province
  • Hai Thinh, Ninh Binh Province
  • Ninh Binh Border Port
  • Cua Lo – Ben Thuy, Nghe An Province
  • Son Duong, Ha Tinh Province
  • Gianh, Quang Tri Province
  • Hon La, Quang Tri Province
  • Cua Viet, Quang Tri Province
  • Thuan An, Hue City
  • Ky Ha, Da Nang City
  • Sa Ky, Quang Ngai Province
  • Vung Ro, Dak Lak Province
  • Ca Na, Khanh Hoa Province
  • Ninh Chu, Khanh Hoa Province
  • Phu Quy, Lam Dong Province
  • Lien Huong, Lam Dong Province
  • Ben Luc, Tay Ninh Province

Previously, under Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP issued on August 14, 2023, Vietnam had authorised 42 international checkpoints for e-visa use, including 13 airports, 16 land border gates, and 13 seaports.
