Vietnam visa for Eritrean citizens

Starting from August 15, 2023, citizens of all nationalities, including Eritrean citizens, are eligible to apply for a Vietnam e-visa. However, due to geopolitical reasons, Eritrean citizens are subject to special conditions when applying for a visa to Vietnam. As a result, they may encounter additional challenges or delays in processing their applications.
Eritrean citizens may receive multiple requests to amend their visa applications while they are being processed. Sometimes, even after all the issues have been corrected, the visa may still not be approved.
Eritrean citizens are advised to book flight tickets and accommodation only after their Vietnam visa has been officially approved.
