Vietnam visa for Ugandan citizens

Starting from August 15, 2023, citizens of all nationalities – including Ugandan citizens – are eligible to apply for a Vietnam e-visa. However, due to geopolitical reasons, Ugandan citizens are subject to special conditions when applying for a visa to Vietnam. As a result, they may experience additional challenges or delays during the processing of their applications.
Ugandan applicants may receive multiple requests to amend their visa applications while the application is being processed. Sometimes, even after all the issues have been corrected, the visa may still not be approved.
Ugandan citizens are advised to book flight tickets and accommodation only after their Vietnam visa has been officially approved.
