If your Vietnam e-visa application keeps showing “amendment required”, your application is likely stuck in an amendment loop. This is a common issue and is usually caused by mismatched application details or incorrect document uploads.
However, if your e-visa application keeps being returned for amendments repeatedly even after you update the information, you may need to consider the possibility that your application has become stuck in an unusually prolonged pending (for further verification, not a visa refusal).
If you have already booked your flight, hotels, and services in Vietnam but your e-visa is stuck in “processing” or “amendment required” status, you may proceed with an alternative option by applying for a Vietnam visa on arrival with us. In this case, you will need to provide:

Pay the visa processing fee: After submitting the required documents, proceed with the payment for the visa processing service fee using credit card or PayPal.

Receive the visa approval letter: When your application is processed, you will receive the visa approval letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department within 7-10 days (normal processing) or 1-2 working days (urgent processing).

Prepare documents for arrival in Vietnam: Before boarding your flight to Vietnam, print the visa approval letter and bring it with your original passport, a printed passport-size photo and USD 25 stamping fee in cash (for a single entry visa), or USD 50 in cash (for a multiple entry visa). Upon the arrival airport in Vietnam, locate the visa on arrival counter or landing visa counter. Present the required documents and pay the stamping fee to get a visa stamped into your passport, allowing you to enter Vietnam.

What is the difference between Vietnam e-visa and visa on arrival?

Previously, foreign travelers could only obtain a visa for Vietnam by applying in person at a Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate abroad. Current immigration policies now offer 2 convenient alternatives:
