Vietnam visa for Burundian citizens

Burundi, officially the Republic of Burundi, is a landlocked country in East Africa.
Starting from August 15, 2023, citizens of all nationalities, including Burundian citizens, are eligible to apply for a Vietnam e-visa. However, due to geopolitical reasons, Burundian citizens are subject to special conditions when applying for a visa to Vietnam. As a result, they may encounter additional challenges or delays during the processing of their applications.
Burundian citizens may receive multiple requests to amend their visa applications while they are being processed. Sometimes, even after all the issues have been corrected, the visa may still not be approved.
Burundian citizens are advised to book flight tickets and accommodation only after their Vietnam visa has been officially approved.
