What should I do if the “Edit” button doesn’t appear for my e-visa application amendment?
Question:
I have received an email from the Vietnam Immigration Department requesting that I amend the e-visa application due to an incorrect full name (missing middle name). However, when I check the visa status, it still shows “processing” status. I cannot find the “edit” button to update the full name. What can I do in this situation as my flight time is approaching? I need to complete the visa before Christmas Eve.

Answer:
When your visa application contains issues related to your full name, date of birth, passport number, or passport expiration date, you will typically receive an email from the Vietnam Immigration Department requesting that you update the information within 1–2 working days.
At the same time, your application status will change from “Processing” to “Amendment required” and an “Edit” button should appear in the system, allowing you to correct the visa details online.
In some cases, due to a system error, the “Edit” button may not be visible, preventing you from updating your visa information. If this happens, we recommend taking immediate action to ensure your visa is issued in time for your flight check-in:
1. Contact the Vietnam Immigration Department via their official hotline or email to report the system issue and request assistance;
2. Submit a new e-visa application with the correct information if you are unable to reach immigration authorities, and hope the new application is processed before your departure;
3. Request expedited visa processing through our service if you are unsure whether the visa will be issued on time. We can assist in speeding up your application and obtaining your visa within just a few hours, ensuring it is ready for your flight check-in.
Taking prompt action in these situations is crucial to avoid travel delays or denied boarding.
