Vietnam visa for the Mozambican citizens
Starting on August 15, 2023, citizens of all nationalities, including Mozambican citizens, are eligible to apply for a Vietnam e-visa. However, due to geopolitical considerations, Mozambican citizens are subject to special visa requirements when applying for a visa to Vietnam. As a result, they may encounter additional challenges or delays in processing their e-visa applications.
Mozambican citizens may receive multiple requests to amend their visa applications while they are being processed. Sometimes, even after all the issues have been corrected, the visa may still not be approved.
Mozambican citizens are advised to book flight tickets and accommodation only after their Vietnam visa has been officially approved.
If you have already booked your flight, hotels, and services in Vietnam but your e-visa is still “in processing,” you may proceed with an alternative option by applying for a Vietnam visa on arrival with us. In this case, you will need to provide:
- Your scanned copy of your passport;
- Your scanned copy of the passport pages containing the entry and exit stamps through all the countries in the past;
- Your air tickets and hotel booking confirmation;
- Your residence permit card (if any)
The visa approval letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department, authorising you to board the plane and enter Vietnam, will be ready within 7 working days in standard processing or within 1-2 days in emergency cases.
