Vietnam visa for Ghanaian citizens

Starting from August 15, 2023, citizens of all nationalities — including Ghanaian citizens — are eligible to apply for a Vietnam e-visa. However, due to geopolitical reasons, Ghanaian citizens are subject to special conditions when applying for a visa to Vietnam. As a result, they may experience additional challenges or delays during the processing of their applications.

Ghanaian citizens may receive multiple requests to amend their visa applications while they are being processed. Sometimes, even all the issues have been corrected, the visa may still not be approved.

(*) Note: At present, obtaining a visa approval letter for a Vietnam visa on arrival can be a challenging process for Ghanaian citizens. Ghanaian citizens are advised to book flights and accommodation only after their Vietnam visa has been officially approved.
