Vietnam visa requirements for the Belarus citizens

Vietnam visa requirements for the Belarus citizens

The citizens of Belarus are exempted from Vietnam visa for 30 days. However, travelers must ensure that their passport is valid for at least six months. In certain cases, a return flight ticket may also be required to demonstrate intent to leave the country within 30 days.

Required documents

As the citizens of Belarus don’t need a visa for Vietnam for a maximum of 30 days stay, the travellers just need a valid passport and a round trip air ticket to enter the country.

How to travel Vietnam with a visa exemption?

If the Belarus citizens plan to stay in Vietnam for less than 30 days, they just need to present a valid passport and a round trip airticket to get on the plane. At the eligible 83 entry ports (airports, land ports or seaports), they will be required to present the neccessary documents once again at the passport control area upon entry into Vietnam.
If they would stay longer than 30 days, a Vietnam visa is required.

The issues that the Belarus may encouter when entering Vietnam

Although Belarusian travelers are not subject to visa requirements for entry into Vietnam, they may still encounter unforeseen issues. One common concern is that their passport validity is not long enough (the passport validity must be at least 6 months from the date of entry). Therefore, Belarusian visitors are strongly advised to check their passport’s expiration date to ensure it meets the entry requirements. In cases where the passport is valid for less than 6 months but more than 3 months, travelers may apply for a rush visa, which can allow them to enter Vietnam safely.
A temporary passport will not be accepted for entering Vietnam in any cases.
