Vietnam visa for Zimbabwean citizens
Starting from August 15, 2023, citizens of all nationalities – including Zimbabwean citizens – are eligible to apply for a Vietnam e-visa. However, due to geopolitical reasons, Zimbabwean citizens are subject to special conditions when applying for a visa to Vietnam. As a result, they may experience additional challenges or delays during the processing of their applications.
Zimbabwean citizens may receive multiple requests to amend their visa applications while they are being processed. Sometimes, even after all the issues have been corrected, the visa may still not be approved.
Zimbabwean citizens are advised to book flight tickets and accommodation only after their Vietnam visa has been officially approved.
Zimbabwean nationals holding valid visas for developed countries will be given priority advantages when applying for a Vietnam visa on arrival.
If you have already booked your flight, hotels, and services in Vietnam but your e-visa is still in “Processing,” you may proceed with an alternative option by applying for a Vietnam visa on arrival with us. In this case, you will need to provide:
- The copy of your passport bio page;
- The copy of the passport pages containing the entry and exit stamps through all the countries in the past;
- Your air tickets and hotel booking confirmation;
- Your residence permit card (if any)
Visa approval letter for Zimbabwean citizen in 2026
The visa approval letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department, authorising you to board the plane and enter Vietnam, will be ready within 7 working days in standard processing or within 1-2 days in emergency cases.
How a Vietnam visa on arrival for Zimbabwean citizens works?
A visa on arrival is accompanied by the pre-approved letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department, and it takes 3-5 working days for standard processing. Upon the arrival airport, the Zimbabwean travellers will present the original passport, printed visa approval letter, 25 USD stamping fee (for a single entry visa) or 50 USD stamping fee (for a multiple entry visa) to receive a visa stamped on the passport.

Prepare and submit your documents: Please provide a copy of your passport and photos of your travel history (such as entry and exit stamps or visa stickers) or your residence permit. If available, please also send us your round-trip flight ticket and hotel booking confirmation. Ensure that all documents are clear and legible before sending them. Pay the visa processing fee: After submitting the required documents, proceed with the payment for the visa processing service fee using credit card or PayPal.
Receive the visa approval letter: Once your application is processed, you will receive the visa approval letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department within 7-10 days (normal processing) or 1-2 working days (urgent processing).
Prepare documents for arrival in Vietnam: Before boarding your flight to Vietnam, print the visa approval letter and bring it with your original passport, a printed passport-size photo and USD 25 stamping fee in cash (for a single entry visa), or USD 50 in cash (for a multiple entry visa). Upon the arrival airport in Vietnam, locate the visa on arrival counter or landing visa counter. Present the required documents and pay the stamping fee to get a visa stamped into your passport, allowing you to enter Vietnam.
