How to fix the e-visa application amendment?

Question: I have been asked to amend my e-visa application twice, with the note “please fill in all required information.” I have updated the form, but the system still requests an amendment. How can I fix this successfully?

Answer: When your Vietnam e-visa application is under review, the Vietnam Immigration Department may return it with the notice “please fill in all required information”. In this case, you should carefully check both your uploaded photos and the details you have entered:
– The photos:

  • Your passport photo must be clear and show all data without blur or glare;
  • Your portrait photo must be taken within the last 6 months, on a plain light background;
  • Do not use the portrait photo that has been cropped from your passport;
  • Glasses, hats, or head coverings (except the turbans for religious or cultural purposes) are not allowed.

– The visa information:

  • All information must exactly match your passport, including full name, gender, date of birth, nationality, passport number, date of issue, and expiry date;
  • If your name is long, it may be shortened in the ICAO line of your passport. In this case, use the ICAO line spelling instead of your full birth name.

– The passport validity:

  • Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of arrival in Vietnam;
  • If you are from a visa exempt country but your passport has less than 6 months’ validity, you are still required to apply for a visa.

– Permanent residential address: Enter your full residential address exactly as shown on your national ID card or other official documents;
– Residential address in Vietnam: Provide the name and address of the hotel or accommodation where you plan to stay;
Finally, ensure all information provided is true and accurate, as you are fully responsible for the details submitted in your Vietnam e-visa application.
