Vietnam visa for Yemeni citizens

Starting from August 15, 2023, citizens of all nationalities — including Yemeni citizens — are eligible to apply for a Vietnam e-visa. However, due to geopolitical reasons, Yemeni citizens are subject to special conditions when applying for a visa to Vietnam. As a result, they may experience additional challenges or delays during the processing of their applications.

Yemeni citizens may receive multiple requests to amend their visa applications while it is being processed. Sometimes, even all the issues have been corrected, the visa may still not be approved.

(*) Note: At present, obtaining a visa approval letter for a Vietnam visa on arrival can be a challenging process for Yemeni citizens. Yemeni travellers are advised to book flights and accommodation only after their Vietnam visa has been officially approved.
