Vietnam visa for Syrian citizens

Starting from August 15, 2023, citizens of all nationalities — including Syrian citizens — are eligible to apply for a Vietnam e-visa. However, due to geopolitical reasons, Syrian citizens are subject to special conditions when applying for a visa to Vietnam. As a result, they may experience additional challenges or delays during the processing of their applications.

Syrian citizens may receive multiple requests to amend their visa applications while the process is being processed. Sometimes, even all the issues have been corrected, the visa may still not be approved.

(*) Note: At present, obtaining a visa approval letter for a Vietnam visa on arrival can be a challenging process for Syrian citizens. Syrian travellers are advised to book flights and accommodation only after their Vietnam visa has been officially approved.
