How to travel to Vietnam with a visa exemption?

If Romanian citizens plan to stay in Vietnam for less than 45 days, they just need to present a valid passport and a round-trip air ticket to board the plane. At entry points (airports, land ports, or seaports), they will be required to present the necessary documents, once again at passport control upon entry into Vietnam.
If they stay longer than 45 days, a Vietnam visa is required.

The issues that the Romanian travellers may encounter when entering Vietnam

Although Romanian travellers are not required to obtain a visa to enter Vietnam, they may still encounter unforeseen issues. One common concern is that their passport validity is not long enough (the passport validity must be at least 6 months from the date of entry). Therefore, Romanian visitors are strongly advised to check their passports’ expiration dates to ensure it meets the entry requirements. In cases where the passport is valid for less than 6 months but more than 1 month from the date of exit, travellers may apply for a rush Vietnam e-visa, which can allow them to enter Vietnam safely.
A visa-free extension for Romanian citizens is currently not available in Vietnam. To stay longer, you must leave the country for a visa run and re-enter to receive a new visa exemption period.
