Vietnam visa requirements for Netherlands Antilles citizens
The Netherlands Antilles is not included on Vietnam’s visa-exemption list; therefore, citizens of the Netherlands Antilles must obtain a visa before entering Vietnam.
Currently, Netherlands Antilles travellers are eligible to apply for a Vietnam e-visa valid for up to 90 days, with single or multiple entries. To ensure your visa is processed smoothly within the standard 3–5 working days, it’s essential to prepare all required documents carefully and provide accurate information during the application process.
There is also a visa exemption for Netherlands Antilles citizens visiting Phu Quoc Island. Netherlands Antilles travellers may stay visa-free on Phu Quoc for up to 30 days if the visit is direct and they do not leave the island to visit other parts of the mainland.
What is the Vietnam visa requirement for Netherlands Antilles citizens?
To avoid delays or rejection when applying for your Vietnam e-visa, please make sure you have the following:
- Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Vietnam or at least 1 month beyond your planned exit date and contain at least one blank page for visa stamping;
- Scan copy of passport: Provide a clear, full page scan of the passport data page (bio page) showing all details clearly, including your photo, personal information, and passport number;
- Recent portrait photo: A passport-sized photo taken within the last 6 months on a plain light background. The photo must clearly show your full face, with no hats or glasses that obscure facial features. It is not allowed to crop a portrait photo from the scanned copy of a passport and use it in the visa application;
- Trip information: Include the intended entry and exit dates, port of entry and exit and the address of your planned accommodation in Vietnam.
- Personal information: You must provide your current residential address and an active telephone number in your home country. Additionally, include the name, relationship, address, and contact number of a person to be reached in case of emergency;
- Valid payment method: A credit or debit card that supports international online payments for the visa fee.
Important notes when applying for a Vietnam visa
Usually, when you upload the scanned copy of your Netherlands Antilles passport and portrait photo, the Vietnam e-visa portal will automatically extract your passport information – including your full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number, and passport expiry date – to complete the application form.
You must carefully review and verify all extracted information to ensure it matches your passport exactly. Any discrepancy, typo, or incorrect detail may lead to visa denial or cause entry problems upon arrival in Vietnam.
