Vietnam visa for the Malawian citizens

Starting on August 15, 2023, citizens of all nationalities, including Malawians, are eligible to apply for a Vietnam e-visa. However, due to geopolitical considerations, Malawian citizens are subject to special visa requirements when applying for a visa to Vietnam. As a result, they may encounter additional challenges or delays in processing their applications.

Malawian citizens may receive multiple requests to amend their visa applications while they are being processed. Sometimes, even after all the issues have been corrected, the visa may still not be approved. Malawian citizens are advised to book flight tickets and accommodation only after their Vietnam visa has been officially approved.
